Wow this gel pen set is amazing! There are so many interesting and vivid colors. They pretty much write and color in beautifully. I only had an issue with about 3 of them but they might need a little more coaxing on different paper. I think the mixed colors are an interesting concept. I didn't have any issue with them bleeding and they are super precise. My favorite gel pens were the "glittery" ones. They had just the right amount of sparkle to them but still kept their pigment which is important. You can definitely use these wide array of colors for special art pieces. I love this large set so much. This would make such a great Christmas gift for the artist in your family.
