Bear on the Chair - The perfect gift for anyone

I have seen the Bear on the Chair around and I thought I would check it out for review. This stuffed bear is adorable. I don't have young kids but that would certainly be the target for this product. We have a bear with interchangeable happy and sad face patches that go on his shirt. This will let anyone know if someone is happy or sad with something they don't want to directly convey. I think this would be perfect for parents to use. I made a whole video explaining my thoughts on it which you can view down below from my YouTube channel

Right now Bear on the Chair is available to purchase for only $20 directly on their site.

Snippet from their site:

Created by child inventor, Symonne, Bear On The Chair® is quickly becoming a must have for positive parenting. Whether you are trying to motivate your child to brush their teeth, go to bed on time, clean up their toys, or eat their veggies--Bear On The Chair® is the solution!

Here's a few more photos of this bear. I think its fantastic and I recommend it as a Christmas gift this year for everyone. Positive reinforcement is always the way to go.  #bearonthechair

Our experience with a Fiber Gummy - BeLive Prebiotic Fiber Gummies for Digestive Health

What an easy way to take fiber. Who wants to take metamucil for extra fiber? Not I! Gummies are the way to go for vitamins nowadays so I'm happy to see Prebiotic fiber available in gummy form as well. They're pretty tasty especially for being sugar-free. Only $11.99 for a bottle of 40 gummies and you only have to take 1 a day. Not bad for a little more than a months worth of supplements. We love it and can see a difference in our daily digestive health with only a few days use.

You can find the link to buy this tasty fiber gummy here:

Benefits of a high-fiber diet

A high-fiber diet has many benefits, which include:

Normalizes bowel movements. Dietary fiber increases the weight and size of your stool and softens it. A bulky stool is easier to pass, decreasing your chance of constipation. If you have loose, watery stools, fiber may help to solidify the stool because it absorbs water and adds bulk to stool.

Helps maintain bowel health. A high-fiber diet may lower your risk of developing hemorrhoids and small pouches in your colon (diverticular disease). Some fiber is fermented in the colon. Researchers are looking at how this may play a role in preventing diseases of the colon.

Lowers cholesterol levels. Soluble fiber found in beans, oats, flaxseed and oat bran may help lower total blood cholesterol levels by lowering low-density lipoprotein, or "bad," cholesterol levels. Studies also have shown that high-fiber foods may have other heart-health benefits, such as reducing blood pressure and inflammation.

Helps control blood sugar levels. In people with diabetes, fiber — particularly soluble fiber — can slow the absorption of sugar and help improve blood sugar levels. A healthy diet that includes insoluble fiber may also reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Aids in achieving healthy weight. High-fiber foods tend to be more filling than low-fiber foods, so you're likely to eat less and stay satisfied longer. And high-fiber foods tend to take longer to eat and to be less "energy dense," which means they have fewer calories for the same volume of food.
Another benefit attributed to dietary fiber is prevention of colorectal cancer. However, the evidence that fiber reduces colorectal cancer is mixed.

Blue Buffalo Wilderness Kitten Food served from a Golden Spoon

Hey Guys! Foster mom, Nesca here. I got to try out some Blue Buffalo kitten food this week along with some super cute vintage looking golden spoons. I thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to integrate both of them together for use.

The Blue Buffalo food came in as a donation. It's the only chance for me to try specialty stuff like this or getting a free sample. At $7 a box it's a bit pricey for 6 tiny cans of kitten food. I have opened up many different types of cat food and this one has no fishy/tuna smell to it. It's grain-free which is nice. I can tell you that as soon as this can of food goes down on a plate it disappears very quickly.

Here's some important info for you on what's inside the cans

World's Best Litter is the World's Worst Litter

Hey guys! I'm Vanessa and I have been fostering kitties for a year now. I'm here to tell you that World's Best Cat Litter really is the most terrible litter I have ever tried in my life. Some people love it but I have noticed that the majority of people hate it. I'm not going to take long so let me tell you why I don't like it.

I want to tell you that I have tried the regular stuff and the lavender scented one. The lavender one is the worst offender. It doesn't even really smell like lavender. I don't even mind that part. I actually really do like when you first pour it in your litter box. The first day is beautiful. The second day and on is where it starts to get bad. The third day the litter turns into literal poop/pee dust. This stuff will stain your cats paws even if they are black cats. It will stain the carpet. It will dust off on your clothing when you pick up your cats. It will stain your couch , bed or where ever your cat decides to walk.

The foster kitties didn't mind this litter at all. I did not dare try it with my already finicky house cat. He probably would have turned his nose up at the scent and/or texture on his paws. Now they claim it's easy to scoop but I have to disagree. The waste disintegrates into crumbles so unless you have a really fine metal scooper its not going to work very well.

I scoop my boxes countless times every single day. It didn't even matter. Outstanding odor control? Yeah right! My room smelled like a barn. I foster from my computer room and I have two litter boxes in here next to me. Not even scented candles could mask the odor emanating throughout the whole room.

The litter is dust free when you pour it in for sure. But I could see the dust when scooping it up and the dust it turns into after a couple of days. Okay, so it's planet friendly. That's good but let me tell you I dumped it in my yard and the rain did not wash it away. I had to mix it with the dirt in the yard to hide it until it blends through eventually and hopefully.

Enough was enough. I emptied both my litter boxes and went back to my cheap bottles of Petsmart branded clay litter. When I walked back up to the foster room after emptying the second box I swear the barn smell that was flowing through my room had diminished completely. It was the breath of fresh air I was longing for before trying this horrendous litter. I cleansed my room of the evil litter and I'm so much happier now.

Don't waste your money because World's Best Litter is expensive for no reason. I switch between the cheap stuff and Arm & Hammer Slide. Arm & Hammer has consistently been affordable and high quality. I feel sorry for the sucker who thinks they want to try this stuff out because its new/interesting. I regret ever thinking to do so. Good Luck and hope my opinion has helped out.

Spookley the Square Pumpkin Giveaway

October is not only Halloween month, but it's also Bullying Prevention Month and Spookley the Square Pumpkin teaches children that it's okay to be different. Frequently aired on Disney Junior, Spookley the Square Pumpkin has finally been released on Blu-ray + Dvd combo, and to celebrate the release of the movie, as well as show awareness for Bullying Prevention Month, Simply Nerdy Mom is hosting a Spookley giveaway!

Post contains affiliate links

Spookley is the national spokesperson for National Bully Prevention Month. Spookley presents an easily understood format that delivers a message to young children on tolerance and the importance of being kind. The movie has been one of our favorite October movies. Not only are the characters adorable, and the story is not only fun, but has an important message attached.

Everybody’s favorite square pumpkin is now the “Pick of the Patch” this Halloween season. For the first time ever, SPOOKLEY THE SQUARE PUMPKIN can be yours to own in High Definition – available in a new Blu-ray Combo pack and on Digital HD from Cinedigm.

SPOOKLEY THE SQUARE PUMPKIN, written and created by Joe Troiano, tells the story of a square pumpkin living in a round pumpkin patch on Holiday Hill Farm. Although Spookley initially faces ridicule from his fellow patch-mates, he goes on to save the day during a terrible storm. As a result, all the pumpkins in the patch learn that the things that make you different make you special.

The animated television special, based on the bestselling Spookley book series, has been a long time Halloween tradition for families, and will once again be broadcast this October on Disney Junior.

This year, Spookley the Square Pumpkin also returns as the "Official Spokes-Pumpkin" of National Bullying Prevention Month through a partnership with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. PACER, a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis, provides innovative resources for students, parents, educators, and others, and recognizes bullying as a serious community issue that impacts education, physical and emotional health, and the safety and well-being of students.  For more information on Spookley’s activities with PACER, visit:

In a world where the only good pumpkins are round pumpkins, Spookley is teased because of his square shape. Shunned by the other pumpkins, Spookley is befriended by Edgar, Allan and Poe, three hilarious spiders, who convince him that, square or not, he has a right to be the Pick of the Patch. But Big Tom and Little Tom, the pumpkin bullies in the patch, continue to tease and taunt Spookley. Encouraged by kindly Jack Scarecrow and his bat sidekicks, Boris and Bella, Spookley tries his best, but he isn’t sure he has what it takes until a mighty storm threatens Holiday Hill Farm. When the storm blows the round pumpkins across the patch towards the raging river, Spookley realizes it is up to him and his square shape to save the day.

Lunch Box Must Haves HTML

Last week was National School Lunch Week (October 9-13). To celebrate, I've compiled a quick list of must have lunch box items that both children and parents will love, plus, you can enter to win a prize pack featuring some of these great brands for your little scholar's school lunch box.

This post and giveaway has been sponsored by the brands listed below.
My children love Aquaball water beverages. Not only do they come in great flavors like fruit punch, grape, strawberry lemonade, and berry, but they are naturally flavored and have zero sugar. Children will also love seeing their favorite Disney and Marvel characters on the bottles. We purchase cases of Aquaball all the time for playdates, kid parties, and even Easter baskets. It's a refreshing beverage with flavors your children will enjoy, and you can feel refreshed that your children are staying hydrated without all the artificial flavoring, colors, or high sugar drinks. Not only are these the perfect size for lunch boxes, but they are also great for small coolers to take to sports games.

Welch's recently came out with fruit rolls. They are strips of rolled fruit and are loved by my children. They currently come in strawberry, berry, and tropical punch flavors. The tropical punch is my personal favorite, but they are all delicious. Each flavor is made with real fruit, natural colors and flavors, and are gluten free. They also happen to be a great source of vitamins C, A, and E. They have a natural sweetness to them, and fun to eat.

Speaking of snacks with a natural sweetness, Go Organically Fruit Snacks are 100% organic and made with real fruit. Go Organicaly Fruit Snacks come in fruit medley, mixed berry, and my personal favorite: tropical. My children love fruit snacks, and we have tried a variety of them through the years. Typically I hate fruit snacks and think they are gross, but these ones I love myself, so if I like them, I have no problem giving them to my children. Go Organically is also gluten free, and a good source of Vitamin C with no preservatives.

Popcorn has always been a healthier alternative to greasy, sodium drenched potato chips. The Little Kernel Mini Popcorn is not only healthy and delicious, it's adorable! These bags of mini popcorn come in flavors like white cheddar, truffle sea salt, pink Himalayan salt, sweet and salty, naked, and butter. Popped in 100% olive oil, these tiny snacks are going to be a huge hit with the kiddos.

Making a Pikachu Origami with Craft Haven Origami Paper

I don't make Origami often but when I do I try to make something simple. I'm a beginner. You can do more things with Origami paper though if you like to do just general paper crafting. You don't necessarily need to fold and you can definitely cut out shapes for poster board projects with the kids.

I wanted to try something easy so I went online to look for a Pikachu origami tutorial and stumbled upon a quick video on this page here --->

It takes no time at all and here's how my pikachu head came out.

The Origami paper I used is called Craft Haven Origami Paper which you can buy a box on Amazon for $13.99 --->

Some of the paper is double sided and some of them have the one colored and one white side. I found it very easy to work with and durable. It wasn't too thin which I hate folding because that kind of paper can easily rip. Good stuff!

You can look up so many simple projects online. I made a simple small envelope with one piece and a goblin head with another. Have fun with it!

Manga Art by Mark Crilley

Sometimes I come across little gems of books to review and I couldn't help but to take a closer look at this one. I love anime and I love drawing so I figured this one would be right up my alley. I'm the type of person who NEEDS inspiration to come up with my own drawings. I have a hard time drawing straight from my mind a lot of the time. This is great for people are just like me.

Mark Crilley is just a fantastic artist and proves it in this book. There's just so many different types of styles he shows you. If you're looking to make your own fan art of shows, video games, movies or just about any type of entertainment then this would be very helpful. He goes into detail on how he mixes different media together to create something special.

I really like how he engages you as the reader with his personal stories within most of the pages. It's fun to read and great to reference. I will also say that he does reference the Wacom tablet quite a bit along with Adobe Photoshop. These are two important tools to have at your disposal if you want to really get into it. You should also have a quality scanner to transfer your paper/line work to the software program to color it.

Let's face it. If you love anime/manga then you need this book in your life. Trust me when I say that the whimsical nature of this book will engage you wholeheartedly. I loved the book so much and will keep it with my art supplies for reference in my own artwork.

Boderier Body Jewelry Gold Triangle Bikini Bra

Got this cute body jewelry for review from Boderier Jewelry on Amazon. You can wear it over a bikini top, under a deep v-cut top , over a top ... endless possibilities.

Buy here--->

Very easy to put on though I think it's meant to hang loose around the body. The clasp is at the very end of one side so you would have to wrap it around your body if you want it to fit like a bra. I was able to wrap it around my waist once to have it like that. You can also hang it loosely like you see on the bottom right square in the photo. Either way this piece of body jewelry is really cute and I keep on display on my armored mannequin in my bedroom.

My new Circle Contact Lenses from + Red Anime Contact Lenses for Cosplay Fashion Purposes

I got to try out these amazing circle contact lenses from and they are so much fun! provides a bunch of crazy cool contact lenses for your personal tastes. They make your eyes look bigger and prettier. It's a lot more prevalent in the asian community but just about anyone can pull them off as long as you get the right color for your face. I tend to try and go for a more natural look so I went with a light brown color since my eyes are dark brown.

Look at all the cool extras I got. They came with a case for them and a cute furry zebra and spotted cow carrying case. The contacts themselves were really easy to put on and felt absolutely comfortable. It's funny because I just recently went to the eye doctor to get prescribed contacts. I can tell you that these fashion contacts made in Korea feel a whole lot better than the ones I was offered. For some reason the Acuvue's do not feel that great in my eyes plus they are so hard to take off. I only wish these Circle Lenses came in my prescription strength so I could wear them all the time. These contacts are good for normal wear but for all you Cosplay people out there these are it. Getting the right eye color when cosplaying your favorite anime/manga/video game character is pretty much that finishing touch that will make your character come to life.

For every two pairs of contact lenses you order you will get a random cute animal case for your lenses. I got the cute pink bunny case and I really do love it. You can see them all here:

I have gotten so many compliments on these lenses. These contacts are from the Cafe Series if you're interested in these. You can find them here:  . They are $29.95 but they are Quality lenses. I have tried different fashion lenses and they were so uncomfortable and hurt me so bad I had to take them out almost immediately. These are just perfect.

The red lenses are more for unnatural but meant to be for cosplay/anime or just Halloween costuming purposes. If you're into the Goth/Vampire scene this might work out for you as well. These are called the Red Anime Contact Lenses. You can find them here:

They cost $29.95 as well. I did experience seeing a little bit of red out of the corners of my vision but it wasn't enough to discourage me from wearing them. I think this would be fine for a convention of sorts or a night of Halloween but that's about it.

This company is great and I would highly recommend them since they have high quality lenses. These are things you are putting into your eyes so you have to be careful to choose the right company.
