I got the opportunity to try out these BioCreatine Complex pills from Natural Stacks. It's something I have heard about before but never really thought to use. We need to know what Creatine is and does first beforehand.
Creatine is used to supply energy to your muscles. Creatine supplements are primarily used by people looking to build muscle (although it’s used for strength/performance as well).
Does creatine itself actually build muscle? No. That’s not how it works.
During exercise that requires short bursts of energy (like weight training, sprinting, etc.), the primary source of energy is Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP).
The thing is, ATP is in limited supply and it depletes rather rapidly. This of course is where creatine comes in, as it’s used to replenish the amount of ATP available.
So, in plain English, creatine increases the energy your muscles have.
This then increases the amount of work your muscles are capable of doing, which then increases what you’re capable of doing during your workouts (meaning lifting more weight and/or doing more reps).
The process of gradually increasing the amount of weight you lift and/or the number of reps you lift it for is known as progressive overload, and it’s the #1 weight training requirement for building muscle.
What creatine does is directly assist in making this process take place. Which means, in the end, creatine supplements help build muscle.
There is also Himalayan Pink Salt and Fenugreek extract in these pills. Himalayan Pink Salt is a pure, hand-mined salt that is derived from ancient sea salt deposits, and it is believed to be the purest form of salt available. By having this salt in the formula it's able to restore the body's sodium levels and maximize absorption. Fenugreek will also help to improve the creatine uptake while taking the pills.
I have been working out here and there and I decided to let my boyfriend try them too since he works out more regularly as well. A lot of directions on powder form of creatine will say to take them after working out. I wouldn't recommend that. It can take about 1 hour for the creatine to be absorbed into the bloodstream - and from that point you have about 1.5 hours to use the creatine or lose it. Since creatine supplies us with energy when working out - it is important we have creatine available during our workout.
The pills are very easy to swallow just like all the Natural Stacks pills. You won't have to deal with any nasty taste or after taste. That's why I prefer the pills over the powder form. There has been some research done saying that taking creatine on your off days is a good idea. That's up to you so you would have to test that theory out for yourself.
You definitely can feel a nice burst of energy to push yourself harder with your workouts if you follow my direction and take it an hour before. I can tell you how hard it is to have the energy to work out and finish your reps when you are not at peak physical shape. This is just nice to use to help you out with that.
I've seen cheaper creatine pills out on the market but I have also compared both supplement fact labels in the back. With Natural Stacks BioCreatine Complex you will get more mg of the BEST most optimal creatine per serving. You also have the added benefit of the himalayan pink salt and fenugreek extract to help your muscles absorb it better which other pills can't offer you at their lower price. I would definitely recommend you to go with something that's higher quality so you can actually see and feel a difference. #naturalstacks
