Old Factory Candle Gift Set Review + Giveaway

I got the chance to check out some candles from a company called Old Factory. These candles are natural soy and burn clean. As you can see they do come gift wrapped if you wish for an extra $3.50 if this is to be a gift for someone. I think the wrapping is a nice little touch.

I decided to go with the Coffee shop set but they actually have a bunch of wonderful scents you can choose from. All the names are cute and definitely are a great concept.

There are labels under each jar so you can know which is which. I really do love the old vintage look the labels all have to them. It's very charming especially for a gift. All the candles come in 2 ounce sizes which are quite small. They are a nice size for accenting though around the house if you please. I like to keep mine on my desk in front of me.

I definitely plan on recycling the jars after I am done to hold mini candles in the future. This is my first time trying out soy candles and my experience with them has just been very mediocre. I got the Coffee Shop set which I thought would be a great warm and inviting scent to try out. I opened up each one and definitely caught the scent from them. The coffee bean one though was very faint. I proceeded to light up the coffee bean one first and I honestly could not smell anything coming from it. I kept all the candles right on my desk in front of me for testing purposes and couldn't believe I could not smell a thing from it. I let it burn for like an hour straight. Kind of disappointed with that one so I went to try the Chai Tea scent. Once again the scent was extremely faint but at least I can catch the tea scent from a foot away. The last one I tried which was my favorite one was the Hazelnut one. I could smell that thing from a room away and even smelled it from all the way upstairs. It's not an in your face obnoxious kind of smell but it was delightful. Would I pay $25 for three tiny candles that I could barely smell? Definitely not! I think the price needs to be adjusted on these unless I just had bad luck with my coffee ones. They do last a little long though I have to say. The wax doesn't burn either if you spill it on your skin by mistake. This would make a cute gift for someone though in my eyes they are more so worth about $15. Great concept though...I hope the potency of the scents are improved. #oldfactory

  3. I think I'm stuck on the older video games. I feel like a total dork admitting it, but oh well. I LOVE Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, and the old Mario Games! As far as more modern games, I play a few on my cell, but they're mostly things like Words With Friends and Quiz Up. I wish I had the time to play like I used to!!
